dream journal · on-device AI

Ever wonder what that dream was actually telling you?

Your unconscious is already talking. This is where you start listening.

Self-knowledge shouldn't come with a privacy policy.

AnimaVault — a dream journal with Jungian-grounded analysis, built so your innermost, most private thoughts never touch a server you don't own.

No spam. One email when it ships — nothing before that.

Early access is limited to the first wave on the waitlist.

If you think dreams are just noise, this isn't for you. If something in you suspects otherwise — keep reading.

The stance, not the feature list

◆

Zero cloud by default

Every journaling app defaults to cloud sync — it's their business model. We don't have one. No server storage, no account required to run the core app.

◆

Grounded in your archive

Readings reference your own dream history through retrieval, not a static symbol dictionary. A single dream is read as part of a series it belongs to.

◆

Honest about mechanism

Never a verdict. Every reading is framed as a question back, every reference as further reading — never proof. You see exactly what the model can and can't know.

◆

Capture it before it fades

Dreams dissolve within minutes of waking. The mobile companion lets you speak a dream the instant you surface — transcribed entirely on-device, never leaving your phone, synced to your vault on your own terms.

Why this exists

What problem do we solve? People want their dreams interpreted — and dreams are the most private notes a person keeps. Every existing option forces a choice between the two: cloud AI apps that read your innermost thoughts on someone else's server, or a paper journal with no reflection back at all.
Why will this work? Because it doesn't force that choice. The interpretation people actually want, with the privacy their dreams actually deserve — on-device, by design, not as a policy promise that can change.
Why us? Built by people who read Jung, not a growth template — a real clinical standard (series over snapshot, no false certainty), applied by someone who takes the psychology as seriously as the privacy.

"Self-knowledge shouldn't come with a privacy policy." Ask your mum which she'd rather have: her dreams interpreted by a server she's never seen, or kept entirely her own. That's the whole pitch, in one sentence.

Symbols, explored — never defined

A snake in your dream has shown up in Egyptian, Jungian, Vedic, and Norse material for thousands of years — as transformation, as shadow, as the body's own wisdom, as warning. None of these is "the" meaning. AnimaVault surfaces that cross-cultural material as a prompt for your own reading, not a substitute for it — the dreamer's own words always outrank the corpus, every time.

Jungian Classical myth Egyptian Tibetan Norse Celtic Native American Sufi Hindu / Vedic

Aboriginal Dreamtime material is deliberately held out — it needs a community-consulted decision before it's added, not just a copyright check. Alchemical texts were considered and nothing met the bar yet.

Built to run entirely on-device — tuned and improving, not a finished system.

How it's built

Where it runs Entirely on-device — dream, mobile capture, analysis. Cloud is opt-in only, never a silent fallback.
What's stored Local and encrypted, nothing synced by default, grounded against your own archive — not a generic lookup.

In active development

AnimaVault is being built in the open with a hard rule: no fake features, ever. If it's shown here, it works.
